In 2000, through a loan from the Atlantic Canada Opportunity Agency (ACOA), Hester Glass House moved into expanded studio space. 

The Pagoda-like building is itself a work of art, designed by the Artist and Acorn Timberframes.  The second and third stories are supported by a giant Nova Scotia Pine tree which is placed in the center of the building with the access stairs cut directly into the tree.
